Andrew Dodds Reporting

Andrew Dodds Reporting documents the formative years of illustrator Andrew Dodds, well known to Eastern Daily Press and Radio Times readers. His farming background gave a unique perspective and subject matter, securing him the prestigious position of becoming a Radio Times artist.

His first illustrations were for the longest-running radio drama about The Archers farming family. These were the golden years of the publication, when its circulation peaked 800,000 copies a week!

For the EDP, he made three drawings a week, from London street scenes to the Prime Minister, being given only a few minutes to capture a likeness. The economy of his line witnessed a London that is now long gone.

Elly Robinson is a keen commentator, artist and supporter of graphic art who has brought the work of Andrew back to life with this lavishly illustrated publication.
